Personal Coaching in 2012

In my sermon at West Grove Presbyterian Church on January 1st 2012, I challenged the congregation to adopt a new way forward in 2012.  I called it personal coaching.  It goes like this:  Partner with someone during the year for a weekly phone call.  In this phone call, ask three questions:  What do you want to accomplish this year in your spiritual life or ministry?  What’s blocking you from achieving this?  What will you do this week to move toward your goal?  Then, each week, revisit these questions!  I told them that Dr Seuss’s last book title says it all (if they follow these steps), “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”  I challenge you to try this as well.  Find a friend or partner who will help you do more and achieve more this year.  (p.s. If you need some free internet tools to help you along, go to http://achievingthestory.weebly.com for a great resource)
